    Inuit Arctic Circle
Nunavut is Canada's newest territory, a huge area with an 85%-Inuit population. After decades of negotiation, Inuit won this area as a "their" territory, where Inuit can make decisions about their own government and development while being a part of Canada. This link is a general one, through which one can find government, cultural, business, etc. information and links.

    The Aujaqsuittuq Project
      Arctic Circle
The Arctic I.Cc.E. Project - The Aujaqsuittuq Project is an initiative to record traditional knowledge of Arctic climate change. This circumpolar effort involves taping interviews, oral histories and ethnographies with Arctic native peoples and making them available to climate scientists and the general public on the Internet and in communities libraries throughout the Arctic. The hope is that the resulting archive will provide scientists with new insights into Arctic climate change, will offer fresh perspective on existing scientific data and will give future generations a glimpse of what it was like to live through this period of dramatic change. Recording will begin in the winter of 2005-2006. At that time we will activate an in-depth website with Real Audio capabilities. Until then, the blog (address above) is the project's temporary Internet venue.
